About this service
Two Applications a Year, Timed to Season

Pre-Emergent Stops Seeds Before They Sprout

Your yard gets weeds stopped before they start, with existing growth treated on the same visit.

Dormant Seeds Wake Up After Rain

Weed seeds can sit dormant in the soil for years, sometimes up to twenty. Rain or heavy watering wakes them up fast. Pre-emergent applied at the right seasonal window stops most of them before they sprout. That is why timing beats a single big treatment.

Three Months of Coverage on Every Visit

Each quarterly visit covers three months, and follow-up treatments are included in that window. Weeds appearing weeks later usually mean the pre-emergent went down late, and we come back to treat them.

Our Process
Our Process on Weed Control
The same thorough process every visit. First call or fifth renewal. You know what to expect because nothing changes.
01
Measured. Staged. Safe.
Your treatment area gets measured first to ensure an accurate application rate for the EPA-approved pre-emergent. Then the treatment area is staged, moving furnishing and personal belongings out of harms way.
02
Targeted Application
Your yard gets a topical or systemic herbicide matched to the weed type. Anything over six inches gets pulled or cut first. Every application happens in the cool part of the day for the best results.
03
No Unsightly Dye. Results Guaranteed.
Our spray treatments do not include any visible dye, so there is no risk of staining on hard surfaces or buildings, helping maintain the appearance of your yard. It takes three to five weeks to see the full effect. Each quarterly visit provides coverage for three months, and any weeds that appear late will be treated again at no extra cost during that period.
Why choose Rigo’s for Weed Control
No hard contracts. No surprises. Nearly 6,000 Tucson homeowners have experienced the difference since 2008.
3-Month Coverage. Every Visit.
Each quarterly visit covers three months, with follow-up treatments included in that window. Late-emerging weeds usually mean the pre-emergent went down after germination started, and we return at no charge. There is no hard contract, either.
Two Applications, Timed to Season.
Your technician texts on the way and calls when close. That gives you a specific one-hour window to plan your morning around, not a four-hour block. Fill out the form and a real person calls back within the hour during business hours.
EPA-Approved. Every Application.
Pre-emergent and existing-weed treatments both use EPA-approved products only, applied strictly per label. Nothing gets sprayed on hard surfaces, and treated areas just need 24 hours before people and pets return.

Last week I received a call from Rigo Pest Prevention reminding me to have a termite inspection. I said, it's doubtful whether I have them. The inspection showed evidence of Subterranean Termites in a garage space without any wood. I was shocked! Fortunately, Alec, the Lead Termite Technician was available to do the Termite Extermination. He and his crew knew exactly what to do and did not damage walls with treatment sprays. Both the interior wall and the exterior walls were treated. They were fast and efficient. And, Alec called and said they were ahead of their schedule and offered to do the extermination earlier if we were available. YES! What a relief to take care of this problem. Thank you Alec. Thank you Rigo for reminding me to have this inspection.

Weed Control FAQs

What does Rigo's weed control include?
It is a two-part program. Pre-emergent goes down twice a year to stop new weeds, and existing weeds get treated on every quarterly visit. Three months of coverage comes with each visit.
Weed seeds can stay dormant in the soil for years, sometimes up to twenty. Moisture from rain or irrigation wakes them up and they germinate. Pre-emergent applied at the right seasonal window stops most of those seeds before they ever sprout.
Weeds taller than six inches need to be pulled, cut, or weed-whacked first. A topical or systemic treatment follows to finish the job. Skipping straight to spray leaves dead, unsightly vegetation and weaker control.
Call (520) 727-3226 or fill out the form to get started. A real person calls you back within the hour, during business hours. Return visits between services always get priority.
Pricing depends on your property, the square footage treated, and the season. A free inspection is the best place to start. It gives you a clear scope and an honest quote before any work begins.
